Taishama Jharna of Khagrachari is becoming popular among adventure loving tourists. The attraction of the two springs coming down from the hill has increased to tourists. Many people are flocking to see this fountain found in Dighinala of Khagrachari. Locals demand to increase infrastructural facilities for the development of tourism industry.
The green of the road will make you forget the tiredness of walking on high and low mountains. The blue sky peeks through the green fields. After the hilly path, you have to walk for a while on the giri path. You have to walk through waist-deep water and sometimes knee-deep water on the path to reach Taishama Jharna. Where two fountains meet at one place.
Bappi, who came to see Taishama Jharna, said, “It is worth saying that the way to come here is so beautiful. Anyone who comes here after crossing the rocky ridge will be mesmerized. The way to come is a bit difficult. But the beauty of the fountain will make you forget everything”.
Tourist businessmen demand to increase facilities including road reform for traveling to various springs including Taishama in the development of tourism industry.
Anant Vikas Tripura, General Secretary of Khagrachari Hotel Owners Association said, “Our district depends on tourism. The administration should take initiatives to increase the attraction of tourists towards the fountain in the development of the tourism industry here”.
The local administration has announced to take initiative to construct a road suitable for pilgrims to travel to Taishama, Taiduchhara Jharna.
“We visited two fountains. Initiatives have been taken on how to make commuting easier here,” said Arafatul Alam, Dighinala Upazila Executive Officer of Khagrachari.
At least lakhs of tourists travel to Khagrachari which is rich in tourism.
