Swedish Ambassador meets ministers

Swedish Ambasador Alex Berg von Linde extended warm congratulations during courtesy calls
recently to Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, and Ahasanul Islam, State Minister of Commerce and
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology.
Additionally, Ambassador paid a courtesy visit to Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Minister of Environment,
Forest, and Climate Change.
During the meetings, Ambassador Alex highlighted Sweden-Bangladesh steadfast friendship that has
lasted for over half a century and the Swedish Government’s continued development assistance to
Bangladesh since Bangladesh’s independence in 1971.
The Swedish Ambassador also emphasized that the strengthening of bilateral relations and the
increased focus on expanding trade and commercial ties signify an important moment in the
partnership between Sweden and Bangladesh. This thriving relationship highlights the mutual
acknowledgment of shared interests, values, and economic ties.
