Russian Embassy in Dhaka hosted a traditional reception on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which was attended by heads of a number of ministries and government bodies, representatives of the high military command, public and political figures and major entrepreneurs, Heads and Military Attaches of friendly diplomatic missions accredited in Dhaka, as well as the journalists.
In his welcoming remarks Ambassador A.V. Mantytsky noted that the feat of the Soviet people in the Victory over nazism and fascism takes pride of place in the Russian history. He highly appreciated Bangladesh’s position in countering the attempts of some countries, encouraging neo-nazism, to revise the results of the war and its impact on the formation of a new world order.
The event featured the “#ImmortalRegiment” exposition with photographs of relatives of the Russian compatriots from the “Rodina” association, staff of the Russian diplomatic mission and their families, as well as an exhibition of drawings by students of the school at the Embassy “Great War – Great Victory”.
