Netherlands Ambassador Irma van Dueren joined State Minister for Telecommunication and
information technology Junayed Ahmed to launch the Embassy funded ‘SheSTEM : Career Knows No
Gender’ program. The event also hosted the inauguration of the project business case report- Barriers to
Bridges, which dives into the obstacles faced by female STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics) professionals in Bangladesh and presents strategic solutions to address them. It also
featured a panel discussion on "How Private and Public Organizations, Universities, and Development
Partners Can Help Strengthen Female STEM Participation,” where Senior Policy Advisor of the Embassy
of the Netherlands, Ashim Rahman spoke.
SheSTEM is committed to inspire, educate, and empower women to pursue rewarding careers in STEM.
We are devoted to enhancing industry-academia collaborations, increasing employability skills, and
advocating for gender-equitable practices.
SheSTEM is supported by the Netherlands Embassy and implemented by 10 Minute School, Aspire to
Innovate (a2i), DevLearn, LightCastle Partners and, Policy Exchange Bangladesh during 2023- 2025.
