Japanese Ambassador IWAMA Kiminori made a courtesy call to newly appointed Dhaka University Vice-
Chancellor, Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan at VC office, recently. At the beginning, Ambassador Iwama
conveyed a condolence towards the victims of the demonstrations in July and August, and Prof. Niaz
expressed gratitude for the warm message by Ambassador Iwama.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged views regarding the
collaborative academic activities.
Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan acknowledged Japan’s contribution to various activities in University of
Dhaka and looks forward to further cooperation with Japan.
