Foreign Office Spouses Association (FOSA) hosted an International Charity bazaar recently at foreign
service academy, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen attended the event as the chief guest.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen, other diplomats and their spouses also present.
The site was crowded with people in a warm atmosphere.
In front of the Chinese Embassy’s booth, many guests stopped to taste the special snacks, listened to
the briefing of the products with great interest, and eagerly purchased tea sets, silk scarves, and
screens making the Chinese Embassy’s booth the most popular and favourite booth at the charity
bazaar, said the Embassy in a media release.
In order to promote Chinese culture, the Embassy organised cultural performances such as tai chi and
traditional dance.
Nepal Embassy also participated at the International Charity Bazaar to showcase Nepali products
including handicrafts, pashminas, and traditional artifacts. The Embassy also had a separate food stall
at the Bazaar.
Foreign Minister Abdul Momen along with his spouse visited the Embassy’s stall and was welcomed
by Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari.
All proceeds from the bazaar were donated to the FOSA.
