Recently, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma met a group of ten officials from the Bangladesh
Land Port Authority (BLPA) before they left for India on 17 November to participate in a training course
under India’s flagship Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme.
The officials visiting India are part of one of the four batches of BLPA officials attending a training
programme titled "Land Port Cross-Border Trade Development" being organized by the Land Port
Authority of India (LPAI) in New Delhi. India has offered training to nearly 130 Bangladeshi officials at
premier Indian institutions under the ITEC programme in the last eight months.
