Recently, the France Ambassador Marie Masdupuy and the Cultural Attaché went to visit the new center
of Life Project 4 Youth – LP4Y , an NGO based in the Bashantek area of Dhaka. The NGO, supported by
the Embassy and whose projects are run mainly by French nationals with the help of locals, focuses on
the inclusion of young Bangladeshi girls aged 17 to 24 by providing them trainings on a wide range of
subjects: English, IT, mock interviews, development of soft skills, etc.
Since 2021, LP4Y has helped no fewer than 191 girls, impacted 3560 people from Bashantek and
reached a 70% integration rate. More young girls will be able to benefit from LP4Y actions thanks to the
new center whose capacity has increased by two and which will be able to welcome three times more
young girls at the time than before.
