A group of experts from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) visited their partner
organisation Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) to assess ways to ensure better food safety in the
dairy value chain in Bangladesh. The two organisations came together to exchange ideas and working
methods on food safety systems and food safety inspections.
The delegation conducted a workshop as a first step to develop checklist and guidelines for dairy
processing inspections and planning. The lessons from the workshops were brought to life as
participants from BFSA, DVFA, and the Danish Embassy visited a dairy production facility
.This delegation is a part of Denmark and Bangladesh’ Strategic Sector Cooperation on food and
agriculture, and for many more opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaboration — all with the
goal of enhancing food safety practices.
