Recently, Danish Ambassador Christian Brix Møller congratulated Md. Jashim Uddin on his recent
appointment as Foreign Secretary during a courtesy call at the MOFA.They discussed the Interim
Government’s reform initiatives and Denmark’s offer of support in promoting good governance,
democracy, human rights, and the rehabilitation of victims of torture.
Ambassador Møller also acknowledged the existing cooperation between the two nations and expressed
Denmark's interest in investing in Bangladesh’s port infrastructure, logistics, and offshore wind energy
sectors, as well as in the development of the pharmaceutical industry. On that note, the Foreign
Secretary emphasised Bangladesh’s deep appreciation for the longstanding relationship with Denmark
and its aspiration to develop this partnership into a broad-based economic alliance focused on trade,
investment, sustainability, and green transition. He equally welcomed the growing interest of Danish
companies in investing in Bangladesh.
During this convivial and productive meeting, the two parties reiterated their commitment to further
strengthening bilateral relations for mutual growth.
