Danish Ambassador, Mr. Christian Brix Møller recently attended the
inauguration event of Arla Foods' UHT Milk factory in Bangladesh.
Fisheries and Livestock minister Md. Abdur Rahman, BSTI Director
General Ferdous Alam and senior officials from DLS, BSTI, BIDA and
BFSA were present during the inaugural ceremony. Chairman of Mutual
Group Azim Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of Arla Foods
Bangladesh and VP of International Supply Chain, Mr. Laurent Ponty
and Mr. Lars Sylvest Vestergaard were also participated in the event.
This landmark event marks a significant milestone in the collaboration
between Arla Foods and Mutual Group, strengthening their
commitment to providing affordable nutrition and promoting
sustainable growth in the dairy industry.
Danish Ambassador, Mr. Christian Brix Møller said ´Initiatives of this
scale are only possible when business environments are conducive to
foreign investments. And so, my sincere gratitude to the Bangladesh
government and authorities involved in making this one happen and for
improving the conditions for attracting even more high quality FDI to
Bangladesh to underpin a sustained and green growth´.
This joint venture showcases the synergy between Bangladesh and
Denmark, both at a commercial and governmental level, setting new
benchmarks in modern, safe, and sustainable dairy production with an
investment of approximately 15 million Euros.
