Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen met with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza
Fakhrul Islam Alamgir recently at BNP Chairperson's Office in city's Gulshan area.
Ambassador Yao stressed that China stands ready to develop long-term friendly relations with BNP, and
enhance inter-party cooperation and exchanges. China respects Bangladesh’s independence,
sovereignty and territorial integrity and the development path independently chosen by the Bangladeshi
people. China supports the work of the Interim Government, and is ready to deepen bilateral
cooperation in various sectors, and continue to further advance Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative
Partnership between China and Bangladesh.
Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stressed that BNP attaches great importance to the development of
China-Bangladesh relations and reiterated BNP’s firm support for the One-China Principle.
BNP Standing Committee Members Dr Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain and Abdul Moin Khan, Vice
Chairmen Air Vice Marshal (retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Nurul Islam Moni and Law Affairs
Secretary Barrister Kaiser Kamal were present.
