Chinese Ambassador recently attended the DCAB Talk. The event was presided by Mr. Nurul Islam Hasib,
President of DCAB, and moderated by Mr. Ashiqur Rahman Apu, General Secretary of DCAB.
In his keynote speech, Ambassador Yao said that at the invitation of Li Qiang, Premier of the State
Council of the People's Republic of China, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay an official visit to China
from 8 to 10 July. During this visit, Prime Minister Hasina will meet with Chinese leaders, sign a number
of cooperation documents, and jointly announce major cooperation achievements. This is Prime
Minister Hasina’s fifth visit to China and her first visit to China after the re-election in January this year.
This will be another milestone visit in the history of bilateral relations and is of great significance to build
on past achievements and forge ahead.
In the Q&A session, Ambassador Yao shared his observation on China-Bangladesh trade and investment
cooperation, Teesta River, Rohingya issue, etc.
