Recently, the "Nihao! China" China Medical Tourism Promotion Conference, hosted by the Chinese
Embassy in Bangladesh and organized by the Bangladesh Belt and Road Chinese Language and Culture
Center, was successfully held in Dhaka. The event was attended by over 200 guests, including officials
from Bangladesh’s Ministry of Social Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services, as well as
representatives from travel agencies, airlines, hospitals, universities, media, and civil organizations from
both China and Bangladesh.
During the promotion conference, doctors and travel agency representatives from both countries
shared real experiences and insights on Bangladeshi citizens seeking medical treatment in China. They
provided detailed introductions to China's diverse medical tourism resources and high-quality medical
services. The event also gave English presentations on health check-up tours, traditional Chinese
medicine experience tours, medical tourism, and wellness tours available after entering China through
Beijing, Guangzhou, or Kunming.
The vivid first-hand introductions and well-designed travel routes significantly enhanced the Bangladeshi
public's understanding of China's medical services, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation
between the two countries in the fields of medical tourism and cultural exchanges. The event sparked
enthusiastic responses from attendees, who expressed optimism about the bright prospects for medical
tourism collaboration between China and Bangladesh. Many highlighted their anticipation of taking the
50th anniversary of China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations in 2025, which is also the Year of People-to-
People Exchanges as an opportunity, to elevate bilateral cooperation across economic and cultural fields
to new heights.
