Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck concluded a 4-day state visit to Bangladesh.
On the fourth day of the visit, the King travelled to the northern region of Bangladesh to visit Kurigram,
the proposed site for a Special Economic Zone for Bhutan. He also visited Sonahat land port in Kurigram
district, which borders the Indian state of Assam. The King was presented a guard of honour at Sonahat,
and travelled by land through Assam to Gelephu.
