A team from the Nordic Embassies in Dhaka attended the 2nd Bengali-Nordic Literary Festival,
hosted by the Scandinavian Study Center – SSC of Dhaka University.
Over the years, numerous fiction, non-fiction and children’s books by Norwegian writers have been
translated to Bangla. The legendary Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen is well known to many
literature enthusiast in Bangladesh. Writings of Jon Fosse, the Norwegian winner of the 2023 Nobel
Prize in Literature, will be translated to Bangla very soon.
