The government has appointed career diplomat Khondker Mohammad Talha as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to France on a contractual basis. His appointment will take effect on October 3, 2026 and continue until December 31, 2027, according to a gazette notification issued by the Public Administration Ministry. Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman today left Dhaka for Japan on a four-day official visit to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. He will attend the opening ceremony in his capacity as president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA), according to an ISPR release issued this morning.
