Austrade South Asia’s entire Senior Leadership Team, led by Ms Catherine Gallagher, Minister
Commercial and Head of Austrade South Asia is visiting Bangladesh.
The delegation included eight Trade and Investment Commissioners specialised in Austrade’s five
priority sectors – the green economy, critical and enabling technologies, education and skills, agrifood
and defence.
Acting High Commissioner Nardia Simpson hosted a reception for the visiting Austrade delegation and
Bangladesh business community.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu attended the reception.
Austrade’s South Asia Senior Leadership Team had fruitful discussions with key chambers, businesses
and education stakeholders. Ms Catherine Gallagher and Deputy High Commissioner Clinton Pobke
received a warm welcome from Mr Mahbubul Alam, President of the Federation of Bangladesh
Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), at the FBCCI office.
The Austrade South Asia team looks forward to progressing business opportunities from a very fruitful
visit to Dhaka.
