Dmitry Medvedev, the former president of Russia and currently the deputy head of the Russian Security Council, the country’s highest security organization, has announced that revenge for the terrible terrorist attack in Moscow will be taken.
In a post on social media Telegram, Medvedev said, ‘Terrorists only understand the language of terror. If no force can be used, if strict action is not taken against the killing of terrorists and their families – then no investigation or prosecution will work. There is no other way ahead of us.’
At least 60 people were killed and 147 others injured in a deadly gun and bomb attack at Crocus City Hall and Shopping Center in the Krasnogorsk area of the Russian capital Moscow on Friday evening. There was a concert of a Russian band called Picnic in the auditorium of that building. The concert hall has a capacity of 7,500 and was almost full when the terrorists launched their attack. The sudden gun attack happened just as the audience was taking their seats before the concert started. After the attack, there was also a bomb explosion in the building.
A few hours after the attack, the Islamic State made a statement in a post on social media Telegram. The statement said, “IS fighters attacked Moscow, killing hundreds of people and causing extensive destruction at the scene and were able to safely return to their base.” Source: RT News
