Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan received an Irish delegation headed by His Excellency, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland, Mr. Simon Coveney, along with the Ambassador of Ireland to the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Alison Milton, and accompanied by various business delegates and Irish companies at the company’s headquarters, in the presence of Kuwait Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, Captain Ahmad M. Alkreebani and various officials representing the company.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen relations between Kuwait Airways and Ireland, with regard to the aviation sector and to work on its development that would benefit all parties involved.
Speaking about the meeting, Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan stated, “We are pleased to receive H.E. the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland, Mr. Simon Coveney and H.E. Ambassador Alison Milton and their accompanying delegation. During the meeting, we discussed strengthening relations between Kuwait Airways with enterprises and companies in Ireland, in addition to developing cordial relations between both parties, while exploring areas of collaboration in the operational sectors related to aviation.”
Al-Fagaan added, “This joint cooperation paves the way for analysing prospects of operating flights between the two countries and concluding agreements for the exchange of expertise, innovation and investment opportunities between the two sides. This is in light of the fact that numerous Kuwaiti’s travel to Ireland, be it for tourism, education or business purposes, boosting us towards strengthening this partnership towards greater possibilities to achieve the desired objectives. This is in addition to venturing into new and diverse markets with positive economic feasibility that simultaneously meets the requirements of our valued customers.”
Al-Fagaan concluded his statement by emphasizing on the deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries, expressing his hope that these relations would continue to develop in the best interests of the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Ireland.
As part of the visit, the delegation was also escorted on a tour to the company’s exhibition gallery, where the visiting team was briefed about the history of the national carrier, its pioneering efforts and achievements over the course of 70 years since its establishment in 1954, covering the development of KAC’s fleet and services over the years to the present day, and its commitment in providing distinguished services to its valued customers.
