In response to the request of Ministry of Agriculture, Bangladesh, a Seed Scoping Mission was
launched by the Netherlands to identify areas of improvement in the Seed sector of Bangladesh and
collaboration areas for the Netherlands.
The Seed Scoping Mission was split-ted into three consecutive missions, two of them have been
completed in August-September 2023 and the 3rd concluding Mission has been started from 11-13
December 2023.
A validation workshop on the findings of the Seed Scoping Mission began recently with an inaugural
speech by H.E. Irma Van Dueren, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
She highlighted the importance of this seed scoping mission, strength of Dutch agricultural
knowledge, technology and agribusiness in the global perspective, our existing bilateral relationship
and the new dimension of our collaboration moving towards more economic cooperation.
