(BSS) – The Election Commission (EC) has kept voters’ transfer window open till September 7 next for the upcoming local government elections.
The Commission issued a letter to this end on Wednesday.
The letter said, “The Election Commission has set a detailed schedule for the submission, issuance and disposal of applications for voter transfer due to change of residence on the occasion of local government elections.”
The last date for submission of applications for voter transfer due to change of residence is September 7. The last date for issuance of submitted applications is September 9, while the last date for disposal of applications for voter transfer is September 10.
The letter states that it is requested to take necessary steps to dispose of the transfer applications as per the schedule.
In this regard, instructions have been sent to all upazilas/police stations and registration officers across the country.
