Japanese Ambassador IWAMA Kiminori recently paid a courtesy call on Environment, Forest and Climate
Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury.
Both sides exchanged views in a friendly manner to promote cooperation in addressing the challenges of
climate change, environment, and sustainability.
During the meeting, Ambassador Iwama expressed a high appreciation for Bangladesh's efforts in
climate change mitigation, its commitment to the Paris Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development
Goals, and environmental targets. He also committed a determination to enhance cooperation between
the two countries.
