Mr. K. M. Mozibul Hoque has been elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) Foundation and Chairman of the UAP Board of Trustees for the 2026–2027 term. He was unanimously elected by the members at the 23rd Annual General Meeting of the UAP Foundation. Mr. Hoque was born into a respected Muslim family in Muradnagar, Cumilla District. Over the years, he has played a significant and distinguished role in the fields of education, development, international engagement, and the corporate sector. He was recognized as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Government of Bangladesh for twelve consecutive years (1989–2000). His extensive leadership career includes serving as National President of JCI Bangladesh (1992), World Vice President of JCI International (1993) with responsibility for Eastern Europe, the CIS, and the Baltic States, and Regional Director (South Asia) of FER, the world’s largest UN peace program (1986). He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Jute Spinners Association and as President and Dean of the Consular Corps Bangladesh (CCB) from 2018 to 2020. Currently, Mr. Hoque is serving as the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Yemen in Bangladesh. He is also the Chairman of TAS Aviation Group, Shah Group and Bakkah Holding. Other members elected to the UAP Foundation and UAP Board of Trustees for the 2026–2027 term included Mr. Alamzeb Farzad Ahmed, Alhaj Abdul Malek Mollah, Mr. Zaki Alam, and Architect Mahbuba Haque.
