Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde, recently paid her farewell courtesy call with Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker of Parliament Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, and Foreign Minister Dr.
Hasan Mahmud.
Key discussion points included: the deep and dynamic 50+ years partnership between Sweden and
Bangladesh, exchange of views on trade and development and the Rohingya situation, the importance
of democracy, human rights, and gender equality for an inclusive and sustainable future.
Sweden sees opportunities for collaboration in green technology, smart cities, and sustainable solutions
to support Bangladesh's development goals. Both sides acknowledged the importance of dynamic
partnership and expressed a desire to see it grow further.
