Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain today visited the four-day ‘Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition’ in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-rabiah welcomed him there, according to a press release received here today.

Earlier, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the exhibition while religious ministers, ambassadors and representatives from 87 countries took part in it.

The Bangladeshi delegation, led by the religious adviser, participated in the Hajj conference and exhibition. Later, the delegation visited the stalls of various Hajj transportation and other services providing companies.

The conference and exhibition attracted more than 300 local and international organizations. The participating organizations are showcasing innovations and technologies aimed at improving the Hajj and Umrah experience.

Their exhibition topics include logistics, transportation, crowd management, accommodation, hospitality and catering.

On the sideline of the conference, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

The religious adviser of Bangladesh and the minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia signed the agreement.

Through this agreement, 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year.
