The Netherlands Embassy has started an initiative to promote political participation among women,
youth, and marginalized communities in Bangladesh. This project seeks to empower women and young
individuals through mentorship, leadership training, and advocacy efforts.
To this end an agreement was signed today by the Center for Governance Studies (CGS), represented by
Zillur Rahman, Executive Director; Apon Zahir, Senior Research Associate; Depanjali Roy, Chief of Staff;
and Sadia Tasneem, Research Associate. From the side of the Embassy, the agreement was signed by the
Netherlands new Ambassador, Andre Carstens.
