Youth and Sports Ministry Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain said that the modernly equipped National Stadium is now fully prepared to host international standard football matches.

“This stadium represents more than just a sports venue, it stands as a symbol of national pride. Bangladesh national football team will face Singapore on June 10 in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers,” Asif Mahmud said in a post on his verified Facebook page.

In a separate post, the adviser revealed another major development ‘Google Pay’, one of the world’s leading digital payment services, is set to officially launch in Bangladesh.

The service will be integrated into the country’s digital transaction system within the next month, he said.

“With the launch of Google Pay, smartphone users in Bangladesh will be able to transform their devices into complete digital wallets,” he continued.

“As a result, the need to carry a separate debit or credit card will be greatly reduced,” he added.
