Japanese Ambassador IWAMA Kiminori paid a courtesy call on Mr. Ali Imam Mazumder, Advisor of the
Chief Advisor office, recently. During the meeting, they discussed the Japan-Bangladesh Public-Private
Joint Economic Dialogue (PPED), the Japan-Bangladesh Public-Private Partnership (PPP), and the
Rohingya Issue.
The main agenda item was a request for continued discussions on the PPED and PPP platform and the
schedule of meetings. The two sides also addressed Rohingya refugee assistance and confirmed
international aid coordination, including efforts on the island of Bhasan Char.
