Japanese Ambassador Iwama recently attended the Y-E-S Award Ceremony hosted by the Honda
Foundation and delivered a speech. The YES Award program was established to "foster future leaders in
the fields of science and technology who will drive the growth of Asian countries." Its purpose is to
discover and encourage students who will become future leaders in the development and
implementation of innovative technologies that help maintain harmony between humanity and its
surrounding environment and realize a truly human civilization. Ambassador Iwama congratulated the
awardees and expressed his hope that they would serve as a bridge between Japan and Bangladesh in
the future.
