“As part of our Greener Partnerships event, we brought together key voices from Bangladesh’s RMG and
textile industry to discuss Sustainable Production. With Bangladesh’s RMG sector at a growing yet
pivotal point—facing challenges tied to sustainability and upcoming shifts resulting from a possible LDC
graduation—the session underscored the importance of resilient and transparent practices for future
growth.”
The event opened with remarks from Danish Ambassador Christian Brix Møller, followed by a keynote
on the global challenges facing Bangladesh’s RMG sector by Dr. Khondaker Golam Moazzem of the
Centre for Policy Dialogue. Participants, including representatives from CPD, ILO, Bestseller, and Aukotex
discussed essential strategies for making the industry more sustainable, competitive, and compliant with
international standards.
