The Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen recently attended
the Huawei “Women in Tech, Bangladesh” Program
Award Ceremony. Posts, Telecommunications and
Information Technology State Minister Zunaid Ahmed
Palak, and Zara Jabeen Mahbub, Member of
Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs
attended the ceremony together.
Ambassador Yao said in his speech that Bangladesh is the
first South Asian country to join the Belt and Road
Initiative and a crucial strategic partner of China. China
has made significant achievements in digital economy,
and is committed to taking practical measures to assist
Bangladesh in realizing its "2041 Vision" and "Smart
Bangladesh" strategy.
