LGRD adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has said the restrictions imposed by India on import of some commodities from Bangladesh through land ports would create new opportunities to become self dependent.

“The Indian restrictions however will cause some temporary loss for businessmen, but to long extent we think it will create an opportunity for Bangladesh to become self reliant”, he said.

The adviser made this comment while replying to a query of a journalist following a youth rally at National Youth Institute in Savar yesterday, a Facebook post of the adviser today said.

Regarding the temporary loss of the businessmen due to the Indian restrictions, the adviser said the loss would help us to become self sufficient in future.

About the launching of the Starlink internet network, Asif Mahmud also a Youth and Sports Adviser said in another Facebook post that it would make a revolutionary change in the telecommunication sector of Bangladesh.

“Particularly, the Starlink will connect the remote and inaccessible areas of the country to get speedy internet service where optical connect is yet to reach.
