Bangladesh created a history by sealing a nine-wicket victory against Australia in the first cricket Test at Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin today.

Offspinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed a five-wicket haul on Day 4 to bowl out Australia for 284 in the second innings, leaving Bangladesh a target of 57 for a victory for the first time on Australian soil, a place considered as toughest for the visiting nation.

Bangladesh reached the winning target in 14.2 overs for the loss of Tanzid Hasan Tamim, brining a watershed moment in country’s cricket history.
