(BSS) – Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam today asked the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) to enhance its institutional capacity through modern technology, innovative initiatives and efficient management.
“Enhancing an organization’s institutional capacity requires not only modern infrastructure but also developing the skills of its officers and employees,” he said while opening a newly constructed auditorium on Setu Bhaban premises at Banani here.
State Minister Md Razib Ahsan attended the programme as the special guest with Bridges Division Secretary and BBA Executive Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf in the chair.
Rabiul Alam said BBA plays a key role in developing communication infrastructure, expanding economic activities and facilitating the movement of people.
The minister said infrastructure development is not limited to construction work alone; it is closely linked with efficient operation, maintenance, modern management and environmental protection.
Therefore, along with implementing development activities, environment-friendly and sustainable infrastructure management must also be ensured, he said.
Earlier, the minister, state minister and other guests planted trees on Setu Bhaban premises.
