Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan today discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Bangladesh and the UAE.
The meeting was held at the UAE Mission in New York this afternoon, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The prime minister laid emphasis on further expanding and making more effective the existing relations between Bangladesh and the UAE, focusing on areas of mutual interest and benefit.
The two sides also expressed their interest in further increasing future cooperation in various fields of mutual interest and deepening the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.
