Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait – these 6 countries can be visited only with a tourist visa. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) made such an announcement last Wednesday. The proposal was unanimously accepted by the representatives of the member states of this alliance.
Oman News Agency’s (ONA) news outlet Gulf News says that the 40th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was held in Muscat on Wednesday. That’s where this announcement comes in. Jassim Mohammed Al Budaibi, secretary general of the organization, praised the decision.
The representatives of the Gulf states agreed on several other issues in that meeting. One of these is to introduce an electric system in member countries with traffic laws.
Earlier on October 23, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Finance Minister Abdullah bin Tauq Al Marri announced that the integrated visa system will be launched by 2024. The announcement of this visa came to enrich the tourism sector of the member states.
