Recently, Dialogue Session on "Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now" organized by MJF in celebration of
International Human Rights Day 2024.
Ms. Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change,
attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Swedish Ambassador Nicolas Weeks, Ms. Corinne Henchoz Pignani, Chargée d’affaires at the Embassy
of Switzerland to Bangladesh, and the Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau also attended the
event as special guests.
An esteemed panel, including Barrister Sara Hossain, Dr. Sharmind Neelormi, and Dr. Tofail Ahmed, was
present to respond to concerns and questions from marginalized groups.
The event was attended by over 300 representatives from development organizations, persons with
disabilities, indigenous groups, transgender individuals, Dalits, coastal community representatives, and
youth. They presented a series of recommendations for the implementation of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, which MJF plans to compile and submit to the current interim
government.
