Japanese Ambassador IWAMA attended the cherry tree plantation ceremony recently at Nagar
Bhaban, Narayanganj City Corporation.
After signing a friendship city agreement between Naruto City and Narayanganj City on March 28 this
year, they planted cherry trees in Narayanganj City as a symbolic new step together with Mayor Ivy
and representatives of Naruto City.
Ambassador Iwama said, “People-to-people exchanges are a pillar of the future partnership between
the two cities. Today, we have representatives from companies involved in sending Bangladeshi
technical interns to Naruto City. There is a growing interest in Japan to host Bangladeshi workers. We
look forward to more matches between Japanese companies and excellent human resources.
Learning Japanese is the most important factor in this process. In this regard, it is wonderful that you
have established a Japanese school. “
