Danish Ambassador Christian Brix Møller visited recently to KAFCO. He went around the factory
premises and was pleased to visit the different well- maintained areas, including the control room and
the staff housing facilities. The Ambassador was smartly greeted by the students of KAFCO School and
College and spoke with the children and teachers as well.
Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Limited (KAFCO) started its operations in 1994 as a joint venture between
the government of Bangladesh and partners from Denmark, Japan and the Netherlands. With
technology from the Danish company Haldor Topsøe A/S, KAFCO produces high quality granular urea
and anhydrous ammonia.
