Canadian High Commissioner Lilly Nicholls and the High Commission trade team recently visited pulse
field demonstration sites in ���� Rajshahi and Ishurdi, where the University of Saskatchewan Global
Institute for Food Security is collaborating with the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council and the
National Agriculture Research Systems. Under this research project, the partners are working with 320
lentil genetic resources imported from the University of Saskatchewan to develop heat and blight
disease tolerant lentil breeding platforms. The multifaceted GIFS and BARC partnership, using Canada
