Australian Acting High Commissioner Nardia Simpson recently paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister
Dr Hasan Mahmud. They spoke about the strength of the bilateral relationship and their mutual interest
in enhancing engagement, particularly in relation to trade.
Ms Simpson also used the opportunity to recognise the generosity of both the Government of
Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi people for hosting over one million Rohingya refugees.
